2) Job Analysis
Purpose of the Role
To collect, analyze, and interpret market data to support Jordanian export growth, identify new international opportunities, and provide actionable insights to JE leadership and exporters.
Key Responsibilities (What the job involves)
- Conduct market research (global demand, competitors, pricing, trends)
- Analyze export performance by sector and country
- Identify new markets and entry strategies
- Prepare reports and intelligence briefs
- Monitor trade policies, regulations, and barriers
- Support exporters with tailored market insights
- Collaborate with internal teams (promotion, policy, sector specialists)
- Use data tools and databases (trade stats, ITC, World Bank, etc.)

Job Summary
The Market Intelligence Officer is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting market data to support Jordan Exports’ mission in enhancing the competitiveness and expansion of Jordanian exports. The role provides data-driven insights on international markets, sector opportunities, and trade trends.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct market research on priority export sectors and target countries
- Analyze trade data, market trends, and competitor positioning
- Identify high-potential export markets and opportunities
- Prepare analytical reports, briefs, and presentations
- Monitor global economic and trade developments
- Support exporters with customized market insights
- Develop and maintain market intelligence databases
- Collaborate with internal teams to align research with strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in: Economics, Business Administration, Management, or International Business
- Master’s degree is preferred
Experience
- 2–5 years in market research, economic analysis, or trade-related roles (preferred)
Skills
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
- Knowledge of international trade concepts
- Excellent written and verbal English and Arabic
- Ability to present insights clearly
