    Company Description

    Jordan Exports (JE) is the national umbrella organization for Export Promotion and Development in Jordan. We aim to establish Jordan’s position as a global player in international trade, innovation, collaboration, and communication.

    Job Purpose:

    The Private Sector Support & Grants Officer manages the full lifecycle of grant support provided to private sector beneficiaries. The role ensures transparent evaluation, sound financial planning, compliant implementation, and continuous technical support to beneficiary companies, in alignment with Jordan Exports’ policies and donor regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Grant Evaluation & Due Diligence

    • Review and assess grant applications against defined eligibility and selection criteria.
    • Conduct company site visits to verify operational capacity and compliance readiness.
    • Perform technical and financial due diligence assessments.
    • Prepare evaluation reports and funding recommendations.

    Grant Planning & Budget Development

    • Support selected companies in developing detailed implementation plans.
    • Review and validate budgets to ensure cost eligibility, reasonableness, and compliance with grant guidelines.
    • Define clear milestones, deliverables, and performance indicators.
    • Ensure proper documentation prior to grant approval and contracting.

    Grant Implementation & Compliance Monitoring

    • Monitor project implementation against approved work plans and timelines.
    • Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, procurement procedures, and financial regulations.
    • Review invoices, supporting documents, and deliverables for compliance.
    • Conduct monitoring visits and follow-up meetings.
    • Identify implementation risks and recommend corrective measures.

    Private Sector Support & Advisory

    • Provide technical guidance to beneficiaries throughout implementation.
    • Support companies in addressing export-related challenges and compliance requirements.
    • Maintain ongoing communication to ensure effective execution of activities.
    • Maintain awareness of private sector needs and sector-specific constraints.

    Reporting & Documentation

    • Prepare periodic internal and donor reports.
    • Maintain complete and auditable grant files.
    • Ensure accurate documentation of activities, results, and financial records.
    • Coordinate with finance and management units as required.

    Qualifications:

    Education

    Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, International Trade, or related field.

    Experience

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in project implementation, or private sector development.
    • Experience working with donor-funded programs is highly desirable.
    • Experience working with industrial/private sector companies.
    • Knowledge of export procedures and regulatory requirements is an asset.
    • Experience in grant management is a plus
