Sura Al-Khasawneh

A lawyer specialized in international business law, Sura Al- Khasawneh is the Grants Specialist at Jordan Exports. She is a highly qualified professional with a solid background in program management at publicly funded international bodies, ministries, and government offices. At Jordan Exports, Sura is in charge of elaborating and coordinating grant programs’ requirements and processes. 

With her extensive experience in international law and project management, Sura joined the Jordan Exports’ team to coordinate high-profile grant programs, supporting the agency’s mission of exports promotion and business growth. Her skills include project coordination, planning, budgeting, reporting, record keeping, stakeholder liaisons and relations, M&E, communication, translation, and interpretation.  

In her successful career, she has planned, implemented, and coordinated assistance programs for the European Union (EU), USAID, and UNRWA, working in diverse positions such as program development specialist, project coordinator, project manager, delegate, officer, and quality assurance expert. Working with the UNRWA, she helped create and evaluate the region’s anti-corruption provisions and ethical practices document. 

Sura considers that her life calling is helping people, and to fulfill her passion, she volunteers extensively, devoting special attention to youth programs. Her most recent volunteering effort is the “Out & About” program, supporting parents and advocating for children’s rights. 

Sura completed her distinguished Master of Laws degree (LLM) in international business law from Exeter University (UK) in 2006 and her bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Jordan in 2002.
