Sharaf Obeidat

The Chief Specialist at Jordan Exports has over ten years of relevant experience in business development, entrepreneurship, and innovation. 

 

In charge of developing high-profile programs for local, international, private, and public organizations, Sharaf has joined Jordan Exports with an impressive record of projects he successfully initiated and completed. In addition, his advanced analytical skills, uncanny ability to manage multiple priorities, and superior problem-solving skills allowed him to excel in several fields such as project management, finance, MSMEs development, policy advocacy, market research and analysis, stakeholder management, feasibility studies, value chains analysis, M&E, product development, marketing strategies, and business incubation.  

 

His technical expertise and unparalleled competence in business development proved to be instrumental for his success in solving significant challenges for high-caliber private and public organizations such as UNICEF, USAID, the EU, GIZ, the Jordanian Ministry of Information and Communication, Ministry of Public Sector Development, Ministry of Environment (MOENV), and the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM). 

 

He is a self-driven individual in constant pursuit of excellence, especially towards promoting exports to impact positively Jordanian society’s advancement. His most impressive accomplishments are the drafting of two award-winning EU projects in 2009: “Strategic Hubs for the Analysis and Acceleration of the Mediterranean Solar Sector (SHAAMS),” with an overall budget of 3.2 million euros, and “An Authoritative Network for Middle East-Africa Region and Europe: Evolution of Freight Flows Between ‘Arco-Latino’ and Mediterranean Partner Countries (EMEANet)” with an overall budget of 1.6 million euros – partnering with organizations from Spain, Italy, France, Greece, Lebanon, and Egypt. 

 

Sharaf holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Yarmouk University (2010) and a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Yarmouk University (2006).
